About Lorrie Pearson

Hello Ruby Lipstick Readers! I am your blogger Lorrie Pearson. This page will give you more insight about me.

I have always been inspired by beauty, fashion and style. Every season I look forward to new trends, color palettes and innovative design. Working in this industry for 25+ years has offered me many opportunities to enjoy and indulge in the world of beauty and fashion.

My career began in the beauty industry. I remember my first day on the job as a Revlon beauty advisor. The cosmetics department was always full of fun and excitement. The promotions and product launches were always over the top. The trainings were events you never wanted to miss. Working behind the counter was fabulous fun. My love for the beauty industry led me to future positions I have held including freelance makeup artist, department manager, esthetician and makeup instructor.  I have also had the pleasure of doing makeup for runway, live performances, television and film working on many independent productions.

There are many great beauty products to enjoy and I am lucky to have represented these lines over the years in one of the following positions:  freelance makeup artist, beauty advisor, account manager, account coordinator or account executive.

Revlon                                    Ultima II                                  Clinique                  Josie Maran

Biotherm                               Elizabeth Arden                   Lancome                Carol’s Daughter

Visage Beaute                        Iman                                      Flori Roberts          T3

Dermablend                           Dior                                         Chanel                    LaVanilla

Teaching the artistry of makeup is always rewarding. My makeup teaching experience began at the John Robert Powers Modeling School and continued to evolve when I taught skin care and makeup classes at the Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics. I continue to offer makeup workshops and artistry services across the country. On many occasions, I am asked to be a guest speaker about beauty trends for various events.

In the fashion arena I have studied fashion at The Fashion Institute of Technology and American College of Professional Style. Working in beauty connected me with models and photographers and have provided me with numerous opportunities to style clients for photo sessions, backstage for fashion shows and for special events.

I currently enjoy working as a professional makeup artist and fashion stylist and writer working on projects from photo-shoots to special events, including film and television assignments.

Enjoy my blog…
